Remove all wrapping and place in a clean vase with fresh, cool water. Trim stems half an inch at a 45° angle before placing them in water. Change the water every 2–3 days and re-trim the stems each time. Keep away from direct sun, heat, direct A/C, and ripening fruit. Remove wilted blooms as they fade, and compost when possible.
